About us
EPLAR is a social enterprise that aims to actively promote and seek financial education in Mexico. We believe that financial education should be for everyone, regardless of social status or age
EPLAR was founded by a group of young Latin Americans with a strong social commitment who collaborated to put their ideas into action through the Shaping Horizons initiative, a project supported by the University of Cambridge to produce technological solutions in Latin America
One of the biggest challenges facing Mexico and the world is the lack of quality education. That is why we created this initiative to help people who have not been able to access adequate learning tools to face the personal and social problems caused by the lack of financial education
What do we do?
Financial Education Courses
Our courses use algorithms to determine each user's learning style, the topics that most interest them, and how we can assist in making this the finest financial education they have ever taken
We have an educational program that adapts to each user depending on their behavior within the platform, their prior knowledge on the subject, and their interests. Thus, each student will make the most of their time on the platform

Dissemination of Public Policies and Technology
We are not only interested in financial inclusion or retirement savings, but we also seek to contribute to the debate on various public interest issues to visualize structural problems in our society and propose solutions
One of the best ways in which EPLAR can participate in these issues is through digital platforms and also through direct interactions with educational institutions or various stakeholders from the private sector

Fernando is an economist with extensive experience in data analysis and finance. Also, he has worked in consulting and in social projects that promote SDGs on educational issues in Latin America

Co-Founder & COO
Santiago is a corporate performance strategist with over ten years of experience in Fortune 500 companies. He is a specialist in digital transformation and competitiveness
Andrew Mediavilla
Co-Founder & CFO
Andrew has experience as a deputy director of a financial institution. He has worked in banking, finance, and regulatory compliance. He is a specialist in innovation and research issues
Alejandro Beltran
Mentor & Policy Specialist
Alejandro is an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) consultant with extensive experience in corruption and violence issues. He has a Ph.D. in Government and Public Policy from the University of Arizona
Laura Valdez
Mentor & Policy Specialist
Laura is a climate finance and policy specialist with 10 years of experience in the public sector and international organizations. She has a Master of Public Policy from University College London and is a Chevening Alumni
